The Coup: Sorry to Bother You (2012)

My signed copy. Review to come. Right now, I'll say it's pretty great, although hardly their best. My favorite track features Das Racist and Killer Mike.

Praise for Lord Garrett

"Lord Garrett achieves the elaboration (contrasted with the condensation) of a figure of speech in the furthest stage to which ingenuity can carry it. The telescoping of images and multiplied is characteristic of his genius, which consists in a heterogeneity of material compelled into unity by the operation of the blogger's mind."
-- T. S. Eliot

"Hardily, this fele blogge of Lord Gareth ny passeth myn owne werkes, right so over mesure. Ich unnethe devysen conne how muchel disport and game it doth me."
-- Geoffrey Chaucer

"If religion is the opium of the people, this blog is the heroin!"
-- Karl Marx

"Lord Garrett is the biggest threat to American youth since Polio."
-- George W. Bush

"While reading this blog, I'm afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run if you will, so I'm afraid I have something of a mess on my hands."
-- Tobias Funke

"OK PITCHFORK, I'MA LET YOU FINISH, BUT LORD GARRETT HAS SOME OF THE BEST ONLINE MUSIC REVIEWS OF ALL TIME!"
-- Kanye West

"This blog is the best, like no blog ever was. To read it is my real test, to follow it is my cause. Lord Garrett, it's you and me. I know it's my destiny. Lord Garrett, oh you're my best friend, in this internet we must defend."
-- Herman Cain, during 2012 Campaign Speech
